George Windle Read (b. Nov. 19, 1860, Indianola, Ia.-d. Nov. 6, 1934) graduated from the U.S. military academy at West Point in 1883 where he received his commission as 2nd lieutenant in the 16th Infantry. He advanced to the rank of major general on Mar. 8, 1921 after having commanded the 2nd Army Corps from June 13, 1918, until demobilization on February 1, 1919. Adelbert Cronkhite (b. Jan. 5, 1961, N.Y.-d. June 15, 1937), U.S. Army officer, stationed at Camp Lee and in the A.E.F., commanding the 80th U.S. Division from September 1917 to May 28, 1918. He also saw service on British front, St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne during World War I. He retired from Army service on February 1, 1923. Lloyd M. Brett (b. Feb. 22, 1856, Dead River, Maine-d. Sept. 23, 1927), brigadier general in the U.S. Army, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1879.
